Browser Extension

The Arcanna Browser Extension provides direct access to Arcanna AI Assistant from your browser toolbar, allowing you to continue working in the active tab.

This extension is intended for end users who need fast, continuous access to Arcanna AI Assistant during investigations.

Install from the marketplace​

Install the extension from your browser's official extension marketplace:

Search for Arcanna, then install the extension.

If your organization provides a direct marketplace link, use that link to ensure you install the approved extension.

First-time setup​

After installation:

  1. Click the Arcanna extension icon in your browser toolbar.
  2. If setup is required, open Settings.
  3. Enter:
    • Frontend URL (example: https://your.arcanna.ai)
    • Backend URL (example: https://your.arcanna.ai/api)
  4. Save the settings.

If you do not know these URLs, contact your Arcanna administrator.

Arcanna URLs must use https and present valid TLS certificates. URLs that are not HTTPS, or that use invalid/expired/untrusted certificates, are not supported.

Sign in and start using it​

  1. Open the extension from the toolbar.
  2. Sign in with your Arcanna username and password.
  3. The Arcanna chat opens in a side panel (Chrome) or sidebar (Firefox).
  4. Start asking questions while continuing your investigation on the current page.

Daily usage​

  • Open the extension from the toolbar whenever you need Arcanna AI Assistant.
  • Keep the panel open while navigating between pages.
  • Use Arcanna AI Assistant as described in Setup and How to.

Privacy policy​

Read the Browser Extension Privacy Policy.

Settings and sign out​

  • Open the extension action menu and select Settings to update URLs.
  • Open the same menu and select Sign out to end your session on the current browser.

Troubleshooting​

  • Setup screen keeps appearing: verify that frontend and backend URLs are correct, reachable, and configured with valid HTTPS certificates.
  • Login fails: confirm your Arcanna credentials and ensure the backend URL points to the correct Arcanna environment.
  • Panel does not open: ensure the extension is enabled and pinned in your browser toolbar.
